Possible cover layouts due to most magazine having two styles either single image or collage images such as retro gamer, edge, and game informer.
The gameinformer example contains both the front and back.
The Edge magazine is the most appealing with having seem to strike a balance between information and image.
I used Photoshop to play around with both the saturation and light of the image to depict the playful nature of the main character(Pit) and also later on darkening the image to convey the struggle between the Darkness and the Light. I learned that I couldn't use the pictures within the game to help show the art direction and the mechanics with the games, but now I get to show off the fan-base in a way through their love of characters.
I edited the articles within the feature page from that of the rough draft in the previous blog post labeled feature page articles. My feature page is inspired by gaming magazines such as gameinformer, Retro Gamer, and Edge. gameinformerdraws readers in with full page photos and minimal text and then retro gamer which uses colored background to not distract from the review/analysis of the game.
Number of pages.~110. My magazine pages. 115 Categories Review (games and consoles): Back of magazine starting in the 100. Discussions (from companies to a game's creation process): Middle pages. 55-99 Upcoming (events and game titles): beginning pages. 3-54 Polls / Suggestion These will be ways to split the information into a more effective way of guiding my audience through the magazine. From Reviews (games that people are thinking of buying and are looking to see if it is worth it), Discussions (one of the categories to be more interactive with our audience, possible doing planned meets or calls with subscribers to speak about subjects that people are curious with), Upcoming (this could be calendar with pages dedicated to more in-depth information on these events such as location, cost, guests, and etc.), and Polls / Suggestion ( My magazine can ask for games to be looked into also look into subject matters and events people wish to no more about).
