Retro Gamer research

Target audience: Gamers who grow up with the retro game in this magazine and those interested in the retro games of the past. With a 95% male readership (Future Publishing) Genre: Retro Games History: They are a fairly modern (2004) British publishing magazine, that sole talking point are retro games. The first 18 issues came with free retro games (a way of promoting people to buy the magazine) and even free software. Their publisher (Live Publishing) went into bankruptcy and was bought by Image Publishing and continued publication in 2005. Retro Gamer was also awarded Best Magazine in 2010 at the Games Media Awards It celebrated the publication of its 150th issue in January of 2016. Metal Slug: Concept Art Having the concept art to show one of the key aspects of a game. A topic I can talk about when talking in my feature.Interesting composition accompanied with a summary with the importance of this games artwork. The Ultimate Years: The History Flat colors and a font that imitate the 80's style of video games accompanied by sprites (artwork). The layout of the second page with the the history on the left and released games on the right help separate the information for an easier read for the audience. Explanations of the game are imprtant, they help spark interest in for a particular game either an aspect of a game or a person/ompany involved. Featured section as well as a Retro revivals 8. Each article gets at most a sentence 9.Rating for newly released games and revisiting old classics 10. Photo credit/info. on the games they show on the cover and main picture on the cover and table of contents 11. It targets gamers and showing news on both creators and their games alike.
